Yoga Flow

I’ll never forget my first yoga class. It was the spring semester of my senior of college in 2010 and I decided to take yoga to fulfill my wellness requirement.  I decided that yoga would be a great way to cope with the uncertainties of life after graduation and the reality of moving back home. I’m not sure if it was my instructor or my lack of flexibility but I didn’t enjoy it. After graduating, I stopped practicing for almost two years.

I now realize the reason was because yoga forced me to slow things down, to quiet all the constant mental chatter. I wasn’t used to sitting cross legged for ten minutes and not think about anything.

I decided to give yoga another try this past summer of 2012 and fell in love with hot yoga. I’ve been become so strong, toned, and flexible. The benefits of a regular yoga practice have been invaluable to my life! Do any of you enjoy yoga?
